Are ZiroPDF's PDF tools really free?
Yes — every tool is completely free with no limits, no signup and no watermarks added to your files.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. All processing happens locally in your browser using JavaScript. Your files never leave your device — you can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads and the tools keep working.
Is there a file size limit?
There is no artificial limit. Because processing happens on your device, the practical limit is your computer's memory. Files of hundreds of megabytes work fine on a typical laptop.
Which languages are supported?
The website interface is available in 12 languages including English, Arabic, French, Spanish, German, Russian, Hindi and Chinese. The tools themselves handle documents in every language and alphabet.
Which browsers and devices work?
Any modern browser: Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge, on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS. No installation or extension needed.
Do you keep copies of processed files?
We can't — files are never sent to us in the first place. When you close the tab, everything is cleared from your browser's memory.
Can I use the tools for commercial work?
Yes. Personal and commercial use are both welcome, with no restrictions on the documents you produce.
Why is a tool not working for my file?
The most common causes are password-protected PDFs (unlock them first if you know the password) and scanned PDFs, which contain images rather than extractable text. If problems persist, reach out via the contact page.
