PDF to Excel

Extract rows of data from your PDF into an editable Excel spreadsheet (.xlsx).

About this tool

Bank statements, invoices and reports often arrive as PDFs when what you really need is the data in a spreadsheet. PDF to Excel reads the text of your PDF, detects columns separated by spacing, and rebuilds the content as rows and cells in a standard .xlsx workbook that opens in Excel, Google Sheets and LibreOffice.

As with every ZiroPDF tool, the conversion is performed locally in your browser. Financial documents never leave your computer, which makes this safe even for statements and payroll data.

Frequently asked questions

How accurate is the table detection?
Values separated by clear spacing convert into separate columns reliably. Very dense or merged layouts may need minor cleanup after conversion — still far faster than retyping.
Why did I get an error about scanned images?
If the PDF has no selectable text (a scan or photo), there is no data to extract. OCR would be required, which this tool does not perform.
Can I convert multiple sheets or pages?
All pages of the PDF are processed in order and appended as consecutive rows in a single worksheet.
