Add Page Numbers

Insert page numbers with your choice of position, format and starting number.

About this tool

Reports, theses and legal bundles need page numbers — but many tools that create PDFs forget them. Add Page Numbers stamps clean, professional numbering onto every page, with your choice of corner or center placement and three formats.

You can also set the starting number, which is essential when the document continues from another volume or when front matter is numbered separately.

Add your PDF file

Drag and drop the document to number.

2

Every page is numbered instantly.

Frequently asked questions

Which numbering formats are available?
Simple (1, 2, 3), 'N of Total' (1 of 10), and dashed (- 1 -). All are rendered in a clean, unobtrusive font.
Can I start numbering from a number other than 1?
Yes. Set any starting number — useful for multi-volume documents or when the cover shouldn't be page 1.
Will the numbers overlap my content?
Numbers are placed in the page margin area (about 10 mm from the edge), which is blank in the vast majority of documents.
